    Comparative Study of Synthesis and Spectral Studies of Thiophenyl Carboxylate Derivatives by Microwave Irradiation and Conventional Method

  • Abstract

    A simple and novel synthesis of series carboxylates derivatives were synthesized by reacting different substituted thiophene-2yl-1-arylprop-3-ene-1-one (chalcones) with ethylacetoacetate in the presence of acid medium. The synthesis was carried out by conventional methods. The synthesized compounds have been monitored by TLC and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR spectroscopy. The synthesised compounds were checked by their drug ability. The drug ability of the compounds was confirmed by Lipinski`s Rule (Rule 5).
