  • Abstract

    An efficient reduction procedure for the synthesis of arylamines 2(a-h) from aryl nitro compounds 1(a-h) by nanocrystalline cadmium sulphide (CdS) as catalyst under hydrochloric acid solution at 80-90 oC has been developed. The worldwide availability, larger scale synthesis, higher yields and shorter reaction times are the advantages of the present method
