Electrochemical studies of letrozole by voltammetric techniques were carried out. The letrozole gave one well-defined reduction peak at -0.4 V to -0.5 V vs. Ag/AgCl electrode in Britton Robinson buffer BR of pH 7.0. Under optimized conditions, a linear response was obtained between 3.5x10-6 M and 1.0x10-4 M in aqueous media for square wave and differential pulse cathodic adsorptive stripping voltammetric techniques. The electrochemical process was diffusion controlled. The value of limit of detection (LOD) were 3.77x10−7 mol L−1 and 2.52x10-7 mol L−1 for SWCAdSV and DPCAdSV respectively.
