    Antitubercular and Antimicrobial Activity of Some Oxoquinoline Derivatives

  • Abstract

    Different derivatives of (Z)-1-(4-(benzylidineamino)-[1,1-biphenyl]-4-yl)-5,7-dihydroxy-4-methyl-1,8a-dihydroquinolin-2(3H)-one have been prepared and all the compounds have been characterized by IR, 1H NMR, Mass and elemental analysis. In vitro-anti-tubercular activity was carried out against mycobacterium tuberculosis H37RV strain and antimicrobial activity against various bacteria and fungi.
