In the work ionophoretic technique has been used for the study of Fe(III), Cu(II), Ni(II) and Co(II)-cysteine binary and Fe(III), Cu(II), Ni(II) and Co(II)-cysteine-NTA (Nitrilotriacetic acid) mixed complexes. The stability constants of metal-cysteine binary complexes are found to be 1011.30, 1010.00, 109.10, 108.90 and the stability constants of metal-cysteine-NTA mixed complexes have been found to be 108.40, 106.80, 106.00 105.50 for Fe(III), Cu(II), Ni(II) and Co(II) complexes respectively at μ = 0.1 M (HClO4) and 25 °C.
