    Crystal and Molecular Structure of 5-Amino-1-(2-chloro-ethyl)-1H-pyrazole-4-carbonitrile

  • Abstract

    In the title compound 5-amino-1-(2-chloro-ethyl)-1H-pyrazole-4-carbonitrile (C6 H7 Cl N sub>4), the pyrazole ring is substituted with amino, carbonitrile and the 2-chloro-ethyl groups. The crystal structure is stabilized by intermolecular N-HN and C-HCl interactions, the former interaction results in centrosymmetric dimers corresponding to R2 sub>2 (12) graph-set motif and the latter interaction forms molecular chains along the crystallographic b axis.
