    Development of New Methodology for the Synthesis of Substituted Aromatic Amides

  • Abstract

    Aromatic substituted amide derivatives were synthesized directly by the single step oxidation of substituted benzyl alcohols by tert- butyl hydroperoxide (TBHP) using cesium carbonate as catalyst in presence of aqueous media. All the compounds were obtained in good yields.
