    Limiting Ionic Partial Molar Volumes of R4N+ and I in Aqueous Methanol at 303.15 K

  • Abstract

    From density measurements of solutions of R4NI (R = CH3 through nC4H9), NaBPh4 and NaI in 0,10,20,30,40,50,60,70,80,90 and 100 mass % methanol + water at 303.15 K, limiting partial molar volumes of solutes and limiting ionic partial molar volumes of R4N+ and I have been calculated and interpreted in terms of ion- ion, ion- solvent and solvent - solvent interaction.
