4DescriptionAbstract Bakersí yeast efficiently catalyzes synthesis of the benzimidazole and quinoxaline derivatives in aqueous media, via reaction of 1,2-phenylenediamine derivatives with aromatic aldehyde and 1,2-diketones respectively. The reactions proceed rapidly and the products are obtained through a facile and green procedure in good yields.
