4DescriptionAbstract Batch adsorption studies were carried out for the removal of lead using activated carbon TiO2 nanocomposite. Effect of various factors such as pH, adsorbent dose, contact time, initial concentration and temperature were studied. The kinetics and equilibrium data for the adsorption of lead were analysed by Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm of pseudo first and second order. Pseudo second order kinetics provided the best fit for kinetic data.
