4DescriptionAbstract 2,4,5-Triaryl imidazoles have been developed by the reaction of benzil, ammonium acetate and aldehydes in ethanol using magnetically reusable nano nickel cobalt ferrite (NiCoFe2O4). It is a simple, highly efficient, three component one-pot green synthetic method. The advantages of this procedure are high product yields, easy operational method, mild conditions, magnetically recoverable and re-usable catalyst. Most important to all, the catalyst can be recovered by simple filtration and reusable up to five cycles without losing its catalytic activity.
