4 | Description | Abstract | Bis-1,4-dihydropyrimidines represents the new class of Biginelli's compounds found with efficient biological properties. The compounds 2(a-k) for the present study were synthesized by alkylation of tetrahydropyrimidines 1(a-k) using 1,6-dibromohexane. All the synthesized compounds were characterized by modern spectral techniques and also screened for antimicrobial activities. The compounds were found to possess moderate to significant bacterial as well as antifungal activities. |
