4DescriptionAbstract A highly efficient and eco-friendly synthesis of chalcones of 3-acetylcoumarins has been developed involving the reaction of 3-acetylcoumarins with substituted aromatic aldehyde in the presence of potassium hydroxide under dual frequency ultrasonic irradiation. The synthesized compounds were characterized by their melting points, FTIR and 1H MNR spectra.
