4DescriptionAbstract A novel class of hydantoin derivatives was synthesized and their antioxidant activity was evaluated. The newly synthesized compounds were characterized using 1H NMR, IR, Mass spectra and elemental analysis. The antioxidant activity of synthesized compounds (3a-d) were examined by 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), nitric oxide hydroxyl radical scavenging assay. It is revealed from the antioxidant screening results that the compounds 3a and 3d manifested profound antioxidant potential.
