4DescriptionAbstract A green, genereal and efficient synthesis of amidoalkyl naphthols using succinic acid as a catalyst for the three-component condensation reaction of 2-naphthol, aldehydes and amides/urea under thermal solvent-free conditions is described. The advantages of this protocol are excellent yields, short reaction time, simple work-up, higher availability economical attraction, low cost catalyst, lack of toxicity and more environmentally friendly catalyst.
