4DescriptionAbstract A simple and convenient procedure for reductive amination of aldehydes using sodium borohydride in the presence of silica gel as an active and inexpensive catalyst is described. The reactions were carried out with equimolar amounts of amine and aldehyde using silica gel-sodium borohydride in THF at room temperature.
